At Erda Energy, we provide a comprehensive turnkey solution that covers every aspect from project design to delivery, including what might be the most crucial element: AfterCare. Our AfterCare services play a vital role in achieving Net Zero goals.
In simple terms, AfterCare is defined as general upkeep of a system after it has been turned on. Without careful monitoring, geo-exchange systems and other renewable energy systems risk performance drifts or downtime. Erda’s AfterCare services focus on two main areas: maintenance and optimisation.

As part of our maintenance services we carefully monitor our systems in real-time and carry out regular planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime and reduce the need for reactive maintenance visits. While reactive services are sometimes unavoidable, our reliable nationwide supply chain enables us to respond swiftly to equipment failures. Through our dedicated AfterCare services our systems have achieved historical uptime in excess of 99%.
Erda’s optimisation AfterCare services ensure your systems operate at peak efficiency. This could involve reducing parasitic power loads to improve Coefficients of Performance (CoPs) or implementing a weather compensation operating strategy tailored to your building. These approaches save energy while ensuring occupant thermal comfort is not compromised. Although these savings are proven across our portfolio of sites, they take time to achieve, as demonstrated in Figure 2 below.

At Erda, we also extend our aftercare services to any geo-exchange systems previously operated by third parties that may not be performing optimally. With our expertise, we can improve the performance of these sites, helping them get back on track to meet clients’ Net Zero goals. We can assist in reducing overall heating and cooling demand or work to optimise and improve system uptime.
